On-campus hiring at NITs off to a good start

Last year, the highest domestic package offered at NIT Hamirpur was Rs 35 lakh by Amazon, while this year, the top domestic offer (pre-placement) was Rs 52 lakh by CRED. The average salary at NIT Jalandhar till end-August was Rs 22.73 lakh, an over 50% increase in comparison to Rs 15 lakh a year earlier. Amazon has made the highest domestic offer of Rs 44 lakh, according to S Ghosh, professor in-charge of its centre of training and placement.
