Your TOEFL test is about to get much shorter. Here are all the changes you should expect

The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) has been reduced to less than two hours from its current three-hour duration. Candidates will now see their official score release date upon completion of the test. The changes will come into effect from July 26. The reading section will be shortened, with the independent writing task replaced by 'writing for an academic discussion' and all unscored questions removed.
