GCCs to generate half a million jobs in next 2-3 years: Deloitte

Global Capability Centers (GCCs) in India are expected to create around 500,000 jobs in the next 2-3 years, according to Deloitte executives. While GCCs initially focused on transaction processing and application maintenance, they are now expanding into engineering, research and development, AI, ML, and cloud technology. Currently, India has approximately 1,600 GCCs, with an estimated increase to 1,900 in the next few years.
