Volvo Group rolls out gender-neutral programme for new parents within workforce

Volvo Group India has introduced a gender-neutral parental leave programme, which allows 26 weeks of leave for primary caregivers either paid or unpaid, and a month of leave for secondary caregivers, available in tranches up to a year later. The company also plans to build more opportunities for women leaders with its career re-entry programme for women who break their careers to care for family and its Empower initiative, targeting women for promotions. The company has flexible working hours to let employees work from home.
